Membership Renewals for 2011-2012 Financial Year
It’s that time of year again where AASWWE membership fees are due. AASWWE as a community has achieved a lot in the last year and it is because of the active role its members have taken in expanding the organisation and contributing to its events. I write on behalf of the board to encourage you to renew your membership and help AASWWE grow even further throughout 2011 and into 2012.
In the last 12 months AASWWE focused on providing its members with access to critical reflection workshops with Professor Jan Fook. These workshops were a huge success, selling out very quickly.
Joining AASWWE has many benefits, including:
- Substantial discounts to a symposium we are holding on the Gold Coast on the 29th – 30th of September, 2011. This symposium will be hosted by Griffith University on behalf of AASWWE and include keynotes, papers and professional development workshops.
- Reduced fees to other AASWWE and APASW conferences, including the forthcoming APASWE conference in Japan (July, 2011).
- Copies of the journal, ADVANCES in Social Work and Welfare Education, which now has a Trans-Tasman editorial board.
- We will of course be continuing with our tradition of awarding and acknowledging the special contributions of our members to the field of social work and welfare education with our annual awards and grants.
- Membership to a network of social work and human services educators.
We hope you will continue to support AASWWE.
Regards,
Professor Jill Wilson
AASWWE President
