Conference Slides
Some of the keynote presenters have agreed to share their slides from their presentations at the AASWWE forum. These slides will be available on this website until December, 2009. You are free to download them for your personal reference. Limited public use of the presentation material is allowed, such as for student presentations or professional development seminars, however such use much involve no more than 10% of the slides from any one author and the author of the slides must be acknowledged in any public usage of these slides.

AASWWE Annual General Meeting
The AASWWE Annual General Meeting will be held by teleconference at 2.30 pm (ADST) on the 4th of December 2009. At this AGM the positions of President and three executive positions fall vacant, we invite nominations for these positions by 5pm (ADST) 1st of December 2009. If you are a financial members but unable to attend, please consider completing the proxy voting form (also attached).

re: Update on forum and registration closing date
We are pleased to announce that Robyn Miller will be presenting on critical reflection in child and family welfare services.

We also wish to advise that Deb Hart's workshop on the 2nd of October will focus on field education AND professional supervision.

Finally, we advise that the closing date for registrations for the forum is 25th of September.

We look forward to seeing you in Melbourne in October.

* Getting to Monash Caulfield:

Trains from the city (Flinders St Station) are frequent and take 15-20 minutes.

Fares and tickets: a daily Metcard costs $6.80 and lasts for 24 hours on all trains, trams and buses in Zone 1 (covers the City and surrounding suburbs). For more information go to:

AASWWE is pleased to announce that on the 1st and 2nd of October 2009 we will be conducting a forum on Critical Reflection in Social Work, Welfare and Community Work.

Guest Speaker: Professor Jan Fook (our special guest on return briefly from London)

Workshops on critical reflection will be conducted on October 2, confirmed workshops include:
Professor Robert Bland - Critical Reflection and Mental Health Social Work
Dr Phillip Mendes - Critical Reflection and Community Practice
